that's what i do, call XShapeGetRectangles then use those rectangles
to shape the background... i guess my email wasn't too clear. If the
window has any shape rectangles set then i treat it as a transiant,
reshape the background, and don't set the border around it when it has
focus (it works ok, but looks wrong, i think any shaped window should
be smart enough to show that it has focus, offer some way of
minimizing itself, etc.)
