Re: local cpan config

Next problem with local cpan install....

It seems that some modules which have compiled elements don't want to
work. During (attempted) install of Devel::NYTProf I get a lot of errors
like this:

t/test40pmc.t .......... Can't load
'/home/clarkero/.cpan/build/Devel-NYTProf-4.06-J7bsUs/blib/lib/Devel/auto/Devel/NYTProf/NYTProf.so'
for module Devel::NYTProf:
/home/clarkero/.cpan/build/Devel-NYTProf-4.06-J7bsUs/blib/lib/Devel/auto/Devel/NYTProf/NYTProf.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory at

Compilation failed in require at

line 50.

But the .so it is trying to load /does/ exist...

I've searched, but not found any useful ideas yet... some posts seemed to
talk about setting an environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH, but tried that
and no difference...

Any ideas would be most gratefully received!

Best winds,
-Robin-
